Apparently Philip Roth has a new novel out called The Plot Against America. It's an alternative history (a pretty interesting genre in my opinion) about what happens when Charles Lindbergh wins the presidency in 1940. Apparently Lindbergh publicly stated several times an admiration for Hitler and even accepted a medal from the Nazi government.
It's getting a pretty good response from reviewers so far. I almost bought it the other day at Barnes and Noble. Instead I bought Ha Jin's new book: War Trash. Maybe I'll have to go get the Roth book as well. I'm looking forward to reading both of them. Darn grad school getting in the way of what I want to read!
