back from the dead

Well, it's been a while since I posted. Since my last post I

• Saw my brother Chris and his family, who came out to visit (hooray!)
• Got hooked on Xbox Live
• Received a surround sound system from my wife
• Finished my personal history (finally)
• Bought a fancy new Sony Discman
• Shaved off my goatee (don't ask, long story)
• Saw Spanglish, Lemony Snicket, Peter Pan, and City of God, all of which were more enjoyable than I expected (if I have the time I'll post reviews of some or all of these, though I've said that before to no avail), and
  
• Built a bookshelf

I'm sure I've done a lot of other stuff too. But that's the week in brief. I'll be back soon with more interesting posts. Don't go away!
