I've got to say I'm ready for this semester to end. I teach on Wednesday and Friday, then it's just finish papers, grade student revisions, and enter grades. I'm hoping to get a lot of things done by this weekend, including drafts of both my papers, and a start on student papers. Fortunately, I don't have to make comments, since most students probably won't ever pick up their last papers. This most recent round of papers reminded me that, even when I feel bad giving a D, sometimes students really do deserve to get a D! What do you know, teachers aren't just cruel for no reason.
Well, most of them. After all, I did have a Kindergarten teacher tell me I was pronouncing my own name incorrectly.
