Wikipedia, Folks

I have students who swear wikipedia is the greatest information source on the Internet, and yes there is a lot of good information to be found there. But also, not a legitimate academic source. Why?

Bobby Jindal gave the Republican response to Obama's speech. I don't know much about the guy, so I looked him up on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, I didn't get past the first two lines:

"Piyush "Bobby" Jindal (born June 10, 1971), is the current Governor of the U.S. state of Louisiana. He is also suffering from chronic diarrhea."
